Our Aunt Susan Turns 191 Today

February 15, 2011

Today, February 15, we celebrate Susan B. Anthony's 191st birthday with two very special articles.

Cat Clark's expanded "The Truth About Susan B. Anthony" responds to the question "Did one of America's first feminists oppose abortion?"

My own article "Susan B. Anthony Was Born Here," tells the story of the restoration and opening of the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum amidst the historic Berkshires in beautiful Adams, Massachusetts.

We want you to know and share our rich pro-life feminist history.

From now through the end of Women's History Month in March, we invite each one of you to participate in Feminists for Life's joyous celebration by reaching out to educate others and welcoming them to join us in creating practical resources and support for pregnant women and parents. Each one of us counts.

In honor of "Aunt Susan," Feminists for Life is changing our donation policies. Anyone who chooses to donate $5 or more monthly, or $15 or more quarterly, to Feminists for Life will also become a member of FFL. This includes monthly and quarterly donations given through Electronic Fund Transfer and FFL's secure website. Monthly and quarterly donors provide essential support to our ongoing mission.

Every new member of Feminists for Life--including new gift members, new student members, and new student gift members--will receive two amazing and inspiring issues of The American Feminist just for signing up: "March Forth!" and my "Pro-Woman Answers to Pro-Choice Questions." (If you haven't joined FFL yet, "every new member" means you, too!)

Please forward this message to your family and friends. Don't forget to join us on Facebook, share FFL links with your Facebook friends, and tweet your favorite quotes from this series (#MarchForthFFL).

You may also expand the reach of our campaign by choosing your favorite activist idea(s) listed below. There's something for everyone!

Help us keep the revolution alive by advocating woman-centered solutions.

Happy birthday, Susie B!

Because women deserve better,
